Rivers- Provence, France

The Rhone River at Avignon with the famous Pont and Papal Palace. The tiny Calavon river in Provence near the village of Bonnieux and Lacoste, with the historic Pont Julien. Another bridge crosses the Ouvèze river and joins the old and new town of Vaison la Romaine. Pont du Gard near Remoulins and not far from Nimes is a world class engineering feat crossing the Gardon river. It is a magnificent ancient aquaduct built over 2000 years ago to carry water over a distance of nearly 50 km.
