This is wonderful part of the Blue Mountains, less than 2 hours west of Sydney. A range of walking tracks with varying degrees of difficulty challenge even the adventurous. Great lookouts, well-maintained tracks, exciting cliff drops and under cliff trails, lot’s of water, mud, puddles, natural bush, flora and fauna. The falls are breath-taking and consist of several major drops. The National Pass walk takes you down the cliffs via a series of steep stairs to the beautiful pools at the base. From here the walk continues below the cliffs to the Valley of the Waters- a rainforest paradise of waterfalls. An even bigger challenge is to take the next drop down to the valley floor and follow the trail around. This is for experienced hikers only and is a great way work the legs. The views extend across the broad Jamieson Valley and just around the corner are Katoomba’s Three Sisters- a much more touristy viewpoint.
