Glebe Market, Sydney

Every saturday on the local  primary school grounds of inner west Glebe,  stall holders set up the eclectic Glebe Markets. Young designers with new ideas, vintage clothing, books, cds, vinyl, cheap t-shirts, jewellery, music posters, recycled stuff, circus gear, industrial antiques, cool food, and live music on the sometimes grassy lawn. It has an interesting mix of clientele and has certainly come on to the radar of international travellers as well as in tune locals.
On a warm winter’s day in Sydney (21 degrees C) the sun filters through the shady school playground and delights the happy crowds keen to purchase something cool. Sometimes you walk away with nothing and then there is nothing to do but relax in one of the nearby cafes.
