Shark Bay is located in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney in Australia. the beach is called Shark Beach but nearly everyone knows this great spot as Nielsen Park. Nielsen Park is actually the beautiful shady park behind the beach and provides idyllic picnic spots and soothing relief from the summer sun. At the beach the swimming area is enclosed by wooden pylons and a shark net. This safe, clean swimming spot on Sydney Harbour is loved by families, elderly locals and a few fitness bodies. The views across the harbour take in more National Park foreshore, as all manner of water transport glides/sails/paddles/powers past. From a higher viewpoint the Sydney CBD can be seen down harbour. Only a few kms from the city and yet the feeling is tropical island (with a cafe on the side).
